Accepting New Clients

What to Expect in Counseling
Counseling is a guided journey through self-discovery and improvement. During this process, you will talk about difficult thoughts, feelings, and patterns that have been holding you back from fulfillment. Together, you and I will explore these blockages in a safe and manageable way. I will help you develop appropriate strategies to make meaningful change. You will then put these strategies in action. I will support your efforts of growth through encouragement and gentle reinforcement.
How Often to Meet for Counseling
Typically, you will start with weekly sessions to establish a strong foundation of support and guidance for your journey through change. From there, you and I will assess if any changes need to made in the frequency of your sessions. It is important to note that counseling works best when sessions are frequent and consistent.
How Long to Complete Counseling
Like many things, the answer is ''it depends''. Throughout your counseling journey, we will keep a pulse on progress. I will often check-in with you to inquire about noticeable changes you have observed. If you aren't satisfied with your progress or feel stuck, we will explore that with curiosity to see how we can get therapy back on track with change. We will continue to meet for however long it takes to reach your therapeutic goals.
The short answer is that each counseling journey is as unique as the individual seeking resolve. There is no predetermined number of sessions that guarantees results of progress. With that said, having an open mind, willingness to try new things, and tolerance to step outside of your comfort zone will definitely help you get results.
