''We as a culture seem to be dedicated to the idea that ‘negative’ human emotions need to be fixed, managed, or changed—not experienced as part of a whole life.'' - Steven C. Hayes
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented approach to change and healing. ACT empowers you to create change through encouragement and guidance to accept your most challenging difficulties and how they affect you. ACT inspires you to commit to making healthy behavioral changes that support healing and fulfillment. Its normal to want to avoid distressing feelings and overwhelming problems. It common for feelings of pain, regret, and anger to keep you ''stuck in the past''. Its normal to feel embolized by fear and consumed by worry about the future. ACT can be helpful if you struggle with Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, addiction, or relationship problems. The main principle of ACT is that your feelings are normal and healthy responses to your experiences and do not have to hold you back from happiness. ACT inspires you to explore, accept, and listen to these emotional responses instead of judging or trying to ''fix'' them. The key concept in ACT is that when you accept your inner emotions, instead of denying them, you can confront your problem and change the way you respond to it.
