Professionals in the helping career field often experience burnout, compassion fatigue, and stress related to work. Compassion fatigue describes the negative physical, emotional, and psychological impact experienced when providing care to others. Its common for providers to experience difficulties managing stress, relationship conflicts, situational anxiety, situational depression, and secondary trauma through supporting others.
